Mrs. Bernt Anderson was born in Norway. Came here in 1873. Mrs. Bernt Anderson died at her home Jan. 4. Hermana Anderson was born in Eidsvold, Norway, April 20, 1840. She came to this country in 1873 and was married to Gulbrand Amundson the same year. Mr. Amundson died in 1866 and she was married to Bernt Anderson, April 2, 1888. She had been ailing for about a year, but she was able to be up and around till the last two months when she was in bed. Funeral services were held at the house and the Norway Lutheran church, Jan 6. The body was laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery. The Rev. Halvorson officiated. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Navarino Norway Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She leaves her aged husband and four daughters, Laura and Inga Amundson, Mrs. Anton Peterson and Mrs. Christ Christianson and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Frank Magnes died ten years ago. The pallbearers were Julius Petersn, Henry Kittelson, Nels Nelson, Albert Knutson, John Olson and R. Christianson.
