PASS CHRISTIAN -- Katherine Williams Chapman, 72, died Sunday, January 10, 1999, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

She was born August 26, 1926, in Biloxi, Mississippi. A longtime resident of Pass Christian, Katherine was a retired civil service employee, an active member of the Pass Christian Garden Club, the Mississippi Conservation Society, the American Association of Retired Persons and Friends of Beauvoir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton James Chapman Sr., a career Air Force NCO and veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. She is survived by three sons, Clayton James Chapman Jr., and wife, Leslie, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Patrick Alan Chapman, and wife, Elizabeth Ann, of Pass Christian, Lenny Reed Chapman, of Pass Christian; and two loving grandsons, Jeremy James Chapman and Corey Patrick Chapman of Pass Christian. Katherine is also survived by a brother, Oliver Oren Williams Jr. of Biloxi; and sisters, Ramona Williams Chapman of Gulfport and Jessie Williams McKay of Pass Christian.

Visitation is scheduled at Riemann Funeral Home, Pass Christian, for Thursday, January 14, 1999, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, with the service immediately following. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian.
