Alois B. Kowalski, age 82, of 740? S. 22nd St., Manitowoc, died early Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, August 2, 1996, at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services, Manitowoc. Rev. Richard Klingeisen will officiate with burial of his cremated remains at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Alois was born September 9, 1913?, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Pauline Baetke Kowalski. He grew up and was educated at Manitowoc and was employed with the Manitowoc Public School System for 30 years retiring in 1976. He was married to Mildred A. Miller December 26, 1942, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. They celebrated 53 years of marriage together. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the St. Mary’s Mens club. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Mary Air Force in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. His recreational activities included bowling, golfing and the great outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred A. Kowalski, Manitowoc; a daughter, Kristine A. Bauer, Manitowoc; a son, Michael J. Kowalski, Des Moines, Wash.; two granddaughters, Melissa Bauer, Milwaukee, Samantha Bauer, Pompano Beach, Fla.; a brother, Sylvester Kowalski, Manitowoc; nieces, other relatives and friends survive. In addition to his parents, Alois was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Kowalski.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Holy Family Memorial Medical Center would be appreciated.
