In Loving Memory of Mary Irene Boyle Stone...

Her father was Martin Boyle, coal mine strike organizer and traveling lecturer for the Miner's Association in Belleville, IL. b. abt 1827 England or Rhode Island (TBD), d. 10 Aug 1861 IL per obit. Her mother was Sarah I. McNair b. abt 1828 Liverpool, England. d. aft 1880. Unknown DOD.

Mary Boyle and Zachary Taylor Stone also had two sons for which we don't know their death dates or burial locations: John Stone and Albert Edward Stone. His middle name is not sourced except through distant family lore.

All of his children have memorials here attached to her page. Only two children's burials are unknown and are detailed below.

Son JOHN STONE is mentioned in his mother's 1928 obituary as preceding her in death. This is our only record of him besides his mother's 1900 census saying she had 9 children with 8 living. John would have been the one missing since all other children were alive then. He was not in their 1880 census. Based on marriage date of parents, censuses and other siblings' birth dates he likely was born between winter 1873 and first few months of 1880. His father Martin had a brother named John Walker Boyle so he likely was named after him.

ALBERT EDWARD STONE b. abt June 1871 Stookey Township, St. Clair, IL; d. abt 1910-1928 since he is listed in the 1910 census and is mentioned in his mother's 1928 obituary. Birthplace based on his parents'1870 census location. His most likely range of possible death dates are after the 1910 census to before 1920 census. Family lore says he died in a train accident. Hoping to locate a newspaper article if he did die in a train related accident. His family called him Bert.

Rest in peace.
