Margate, FL - Michael W. Ignachuck, 71, of Margate, FL, formerly of Leominster, died September 21, 2018. He was born in Concord, MA, September 27, 1947, son of the late Michael Ignachuck and Dorothy (Campbell) Ignachuck Boucher.

He graduated from Leominster Trade High School, Class of 1966. Michael served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He received the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Sharpshooter (Rifle).

He is survived by two daughters; Penny Caponi and her husband Rick of Brooklyn, CT and their children, Alyssa, Joseph and Angela Caponi, and Carrie Staskivitch and her husband Jason, of Plainfield, CT, and their children Brayden and Lucas Staskivitch. His five sisters; Lois (Ignachuck) Kreidler and her husband Joseph of Fitchburg, Janice (Boucher) Constant and her husband Denis of Leominster, Jeannie (Boucher) Saunders and her husband David of Fitchburg, Joanne (Boucher) Boucher and her husband Jack of Leominster, Linda (Boucher) Nikitas and her husband Mark of Lancaster, one stepsister; Doris (Boucher) Connors of Leominster, one stepbrother; David Boucher of Leominster, and many nieces and nephews, along with his beloved dog Gizmo.He was predeacseed by his nephew Zachary Constant.

Michael is also survived by his wife of 24 years, Lucille (Bergeron) Ignachuck of Florida and her children, Michael Bergeron of Westminster, Pamela Graham of Florida, Tina and Robert Thompson of Leominster and Suzanne Duffy of Leominster.

He is predeceased by his first wife of 21 years, Paula (Sullivan) Ignachuck who died in 1991, and his stepfather, Phillip Boucher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to: Leominster Veterans Center, 100 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
