Greenwood - Rebecca Busbee Ballentine, 80, resident of 617 E. Henrietta Ave., wife of George W. Ballentine, Sr., died December 2, 2005. Born in Springfield, she was a daughter of the late Olin D. and Lela Gleaton Busbee. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, the Greenwood Woman's Club, Palladium Study Club, Holly Garden Club and a 20 year volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, George W. "Bal" Ballentine, Jr. and wife Kathryn of Greenwood; a daughter, Anna B. and husband William Fletcher Steele of Winston-Salem, NC; six grandchildren. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Main Street United Methodist Church. Private family burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 to 6 Saturday afternoon at Blyth Funeral Home.
