Obituary for Hampton "Jack" Yates
Mr. Jack Yates, age 65, passed away May 31, 2010. He was born September 4, 1944 in Holmes County, Florida to Monsee and Dollie McDuffie Yates.

Jack was born and raised in Holmes County, Florida and moved to Walton County in 1970. He was Baptist by faith and an avid fox, deer and wild turkey hunter. He enjoyed fishing and was an Alabama Football Fan. His handle name was "Bulldog". He worked for Eglin Test Missions and Support 46th TW O&M Contract for almost 43 years before retiring last year.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Yates.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Wilkerson Yates of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; one son, Hampton A. J. Yates, Jr. and wife Angelique of Ponce De Leon, Florida; one daughter, Jackie Campbell and husband Scott of Spring Hill, Florida; three sisters, Faye Williams and husband Woodrow "Buck" of Hartford, Alabama; Frances Pryor and husband Ralph of Prosperity, Florida; Nancy Peel and husband Ty of Chipley, Florida. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jacob and Brooke Campbell, A.J., Madison and Cassidy Yates and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A time of visitation will be held 6:00~8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with Reverend Johnmark Brown and Dr. Mark Rathel officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gum Creek Cemetery.

Floral arrangements are being accepted or donations may be made to Walton County ARC 1408 A North 9th Street; DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433.
