Washie was killed in a train wreck along with his brother, George Robert " Bob ".The flames from the explosion were seen from as far away as McAlester,Oklahoma. The White brothers are buried side by side beside their father, Elbert Francis White, (1868-1927), in Maxey Cemetery. There are no headstones for the White brothers or their father. There is a big brown flat stone standing upright for the father, but any inscription is long-gone. The blue flags (purple iris) are still there, these were planted by the mother and her daughters. All three of these White males were buried inside the Canida family plot.
