Born March 9, 1904 in Wirt County, W. Va., he was the son of the late Fred and Sylvania Hilberry Curfman. On May 15, 1937 he married Florence Greer Curfman, who survives.
He was a retired farmer and coal miner and was a lifetime resident of the Waynesburg area. He was a member of the Swartz Methodist Church.
Surviving along with his wife is a son, Lloyd Coner of Beaver Falls; one daughter, Mrs. James (Chickie) Melton of Mt. Morris; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. James (Roxie B.) Keller of Waynesburg.
Preceding him in death was a daughter, Norma Jean Sabo, two brothers and one sister.
