Charles Bandy, born October 14, 1921 married Eileen Gamlin November 16, 1947 and they made their home in Raymond, Illinois. Eileen and Charles ran a variety store in Raymond, and he served as Fire Chief, and was also the township's assessor. In 1996, Charles and Eileen were returning home from the Dairy Queen in Hillsboro, Il. when their pickup was struck by another pickup, killing Charles at the age of 74. He was buried in Asbury Cemetery September 26, 1996.
