OBITUARY:
"Audrey A. Riegel, 79, Sullivan, died Sunday, November 18, 2001. She was born June 21, 1922 at Union, to Otto Pohlmann and his wife, Helena (nee Hoerskamp).
She was raised in the Union area and graduated from Union High School. On September 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to Edward Riegel at Washington.
Mrs. Riegel was a member of Saint Anthony Parish, Sullivan, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Russell Schmidt V. F. W. Post 3987.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Riegel; one grandson, Mark Berga; one daughter-in-law, Patty O'Sullivan Riegel; one brother, Clifford Pohlmann; and an infant sister, Mable Pohlmann.
She is survived by two sons, Terry Riegel and wife, Karen, and Tom Riegel and wife, Sondra, all of Lamar; three daughters, Rita Powell and husband, Ronnie, Union, Madalyn Berga and husband, Mike, and Denise Revelle and husband, Bob, all of Sullivan; one sister, Doris VanLeer, Union; 19 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 21, from Saint Anthony Church, Sullivan, with Rev. Don Carey officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Masses to Saint Anthony Catholic Church or memorials to the American Cancer Society are preferred. The Riegel family was served by Eaton Funeral Home, Sulllivan."
