Ralph Edward Anderson, age 73, 2111 Galena Ave died at 11:47 a.m. Saturday, Feb 9, 2008 at St. Johns Regional Medical Center, Joplin, MO following a short illness.
Mr. Anderson was born November 26, 1934 in Galena, KS. His parents were William Henry and Arietta Ann (Sweet) Anderson. He lived in Galena all his life.
Ralph worked 25 years for the local telephone company, retiring from Sprint on Jan 4, 1994. He was a member of Tennessee Prairie Friends Church, Galena, KS. Among his interests were fishing and hunting.
Ralph was married to Lois Jean Wilson Anderson on Dec., 18, 1954 in Miami, OK. She survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Kelly Darren Anderson, Galena, KS; one daughter Sherry Janeen Anderson, Galena, KS; and one sister, Norma Peterson, Villa Ridge, MO.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Leon Anderson and one sister, Hazel Marie Bankson.
The body was taken for cremation under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
A celebration of his life will occur at a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Tennessee Prairie Friends Church, Pastor Dave Robinson, Pastor Jeff D. Martin and Alan Gaines will officiate.
