Carl O. BENNETT, 59, of the Culver-Burr Oak community, died at noon Saturday at Plymouth Parkview hospital. He had been an active salesman for many years.
The son of Lawrence L. and Jessie MALLORY BENNETT, he was born at Ora. He moved back to Marshall county in 1950 from Goodland, Ind. He was married at Culver Aug. 11, 1920 to Lillian ARMFIELD, who survives. He was a member of the Later Day Saints church at Knox.
Survivors are the wife; a daughter, Mrs. William (Eileen) LANE, South Bend; two sons, Gene [BENNETT], Winamac, and Leon [BENNETT], Culver; six grandchildren; the mother, Mrs. Amer OLER, Argos; five sisters, Mrs. Vance (Gladys) FENSTERMAKER and Mrs. Glenn (Charlotte) WARNER, both of Argos; Mrs. Agnes YOUNG, Stockton, Cal.; Mrs. Donald (Gayna) BEHMER, Newport Richey, Fla., and Mrs. Dalta HATTEN, Goshen; three brothers, Charley [BENNETT], Lakeville, and Clyde and Clair [BENNETT] of Culver.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Grossman funeral home at Argos with the Rev. Arthur GIVENS officiating. Burial will be at Goodland City cemetery, where graveside rites will be conducted about 4 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home.
