Carl A. Sherrill, M.D., was the son of William Morgan Sherrill and Elizabeth Norcross Sherrill. He married Emma Filmore Squires 10/12/1892. They had the following children: Mabel F.; Elbert Alfred; Vada Burnice; Thelma; and Floy Belle.

Former Burleson Man Dies At Galveston
Word was received here Friday of the death of Dr. C. A. Sherrill, a former physician of Burleson county. Some few years ago Dr. Sherrill, with his family moved from Cook's Point community to Medina, where he practiced medicine until the past three years, when his health began failing. He spent the latter part of his illness in his daughter's home at Galveston, where he could receive proper care. While in Burleson county, he served as a member of the Health Board for several years. His patients over the rural section of the county were numerous and it is said of him that "the roads were never too long, nor too impassible for him to respond to the call of the anxious at any hour of the day or night." The deceased received his M. D. at Medical School in Tennessee. He is survived by his wife and four children."

Former Burleson Man Dies At Galveston
Word was received here Friday of the death of Dr. C. A. Sherrill, a former physician of Burleson county. Some few years ago Dr. Sherrill, with his family moved from Cook's Point community to Medina, where he practiced medicine until the past three years, when his health began failing. He spent the latter part of his illness in his daughter's home at Galveston, where he could receive proper care. While in Burleson county, he served as a member of the Health Board for several years. His patients over the rural section of the county were numerous and it is said of him that "the roads were never too long, nor too impassible for him to respond to the call of the anxious at any hour of the day or night." The deceased received his M. D. at Medical School in Tennessee. He is survived by his wife and four children."
