Mr.Carl Vernon Whigham, age 71, of Newnan died June 8, 2010 at his residence. Carl was born December 18, 1938 in Faceville, Georgia and was the son of the late Clarence and Valda Murry Whigham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Carter Whigham. His professional life was in the marketing division of Flowers Baking Company. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Surviving Carl is his wife Lynda Brinson Whigham of Newnan and his children, Dawn Whigham Chastain and her husband Keith of Newnan, Michael Whigham and his wife Terri of Sharpsburg, and Wade Whigham of Washington, DC. His grandchildren are Taylor Chastain, Jordan Chastain, Jared Whigham and Jonah Whigham. Also surviving is his sister Myrtle Miller of Ft. Myers, Florida. Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street in Newnan where the family will receive friends on Thursday evening between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Wilson and Pastor Archie Slaton officiating.
