Mrs. Mabel Armstrong, 79, died Tuesday in the Ellinwood District Hospital after a one month illness. Born June 8, 1888 in Fort Harker, she married William J. Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong was a former Barton County Engineer who died in 1950. Mabel had been a resident of the Ellinwood community for 15 years. She is survived by one brother, George J. Bruer of Los Angeles, CA, and one cousin, Mrs. Walter Panning, Ellinwood. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ellinwood Emmanuel United Church of Christ with the Rev. L. James Koch officiating. Burial: McPherson Cemetery.
