Crawford. Final Decree, 17 May 1900, Book 66, Pg. 594, 595. Default decree for Plantiff. Plantiff entitled to the relief prayed for in her petition. Care and custody of her three minor children, born of said marriage with Defendant, awarded to plantiff. Maiden name Mattie Brace, restored.

Mattison M. Brace died 23 April, 1942. Stephen Augustus then married Mary Helen Stetson 12 Apr 1945, Bexar Co., TX. (who was divorced from Earl Stetson 2 May 1944). Mary Helen's maiden name was Helen Hutson.

Stephen A Crawford, 79, a life-long resident of Springfield and a veteran of the Spanish American War, died early yesterday afternoon in O'Reilly Veterans' hospital where he had been a patient a year. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louise Onstott of St. Louis; two brothers, Jarrett of St. Louis and Ralph of Little Rock, Ark; a sister Mrs. Anna Brune of Hayden, NM; a niece, Mrs. Harvey Anderson of route 10, and five grandchildren. Arrangements are under the directon of Alma Lohmeyer.

Windle chapel by the Rev. Vincent Gray. Burial was in National cemetery with graveside services by Veterans of Spanish American War.
