Juanita June Landry, born October 11, 1925, passed away on June 4, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Marvin Paul Landry. Daughter of the late John & Juanita Albe. Mother of Cheryl Landry Hutchinson (Jesse), Cynthia Landry Steele (William II), & Marvin Paul Landry II (Stephanie). Grandmother of Brigitte Matejowsky (Winston), Jennifer Steele Billeaud (André), William L. Steele III (Kerri), Erin Landry Knight (Ray), Colleen Landry, Timothy Landry, and Ryan Landry. Great Grandmother of Hannah Matejowsky, Abigail Matejowsky, Louis Billeaud, Giacomo Billeaud, Page Steele, Emma Steele & Liam Steele, and Luke Knight. A native of New Orleans, resident of Slidell for 45 years, she resided in Baton Rouge for 4 years, and a resident of Ventress, La. at the time of her death. Mrs. Landry was a 1941 Graduate of McDonogh High School, a Slidell Women's Civic Club member as well as being club President, Vice President, Treasurer, Ball Captain, and Parade Capt. Above all, she received the honor of being named Queen Samaritan XXV in 1974. She was a Camellia Club member, holding numerous offices as well as supporting Easter Seals "Jazz on the Bayou". She was also associated with Girl Scouts of America, the American Red Cross, Slidell High School PTA, and Bayou Liberty Garden Club. She was a parishioner
