==============
Apr 29, 1841: Litchfield Enquirer :
DIED, In this town (So. Farms Society) on the 24t inst. Mrs. Nancy Bostwick, wife of Deacon Joel Bostwick, aged 55 years. By this sudden and afflicting event of God's providence, a breach has been made in an extended circle of friends and relatives which has hitherto remained unbroken. Those who best knew the deceased can most appreciate her virtues: As a mother she was devotedly attached to her children; as a wife she was faithful and kind; as a sister affectionate; as a daughter filial—tenderness filled her soul and the aged mother she has left behind, having almost reached a century, "sorrows most of all," that her daughter is taken and she left. But, bowing to the will of the Father, her friends have at least this consolation, that their loss is her eternal gain.
To live in hearts we leave behind, Is not to die.
