Marianne was born in Great Falls, Montana, the daughter of John and Marie Boe Jacobson. The family moved to Minnasota and then at the age of four, her family moved to Aberdeen, WA. She attended school in Aberdeen, and she was confirmed at Our Saviors Norwegian Lutheren Church on Juen 5, 1927. It was at Our Saviors on August 20, 1942, she married George Robert Allison just before he enlisted in the US Army Air Corp. After Georges discharge, in 1946 they moved to Moses Lake, WA. George in partnership with his brother Harvey and wife Ina, opened a building materials business, Allison Lumber Supplies. Marianne worked as the bookeeper for the Lumber business.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Moses Lake, Ladies Auxiliary, VFW and past president of Auxiliary #5926, Moses Lake and Past District President of District #13, Ladies Auxiliary, VFW. George passed away in 1992 and Marianne moved to Hearhstone Retirement Inn in 1997 and then to Lakeridge Special Care in 2000.
