DECATUR DAILY February 24, 1998

Funeral for Ruth A. Hames, 96, of Decatur will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. J. W. Vickers officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hames died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998 at Medical Park Convalescent Center. She was born July 5, 1901 in Trinity. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, where she attended for 68 years, and was a past president of Circle One Friendship Sunday school Class. She was the widow of Oscar D. Hames.

She is survived by one daughter, Martha Ruth Webster of Decatur; one sister, Martha Aldridge Little of Montgomery; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Jim Aldridge, Paul Barnes, Greg Barnes, John Little, Jim Webster, Richard Wiley and Don Young.

Members of the Circle One Friendship Sunday school class will be honorary pallbearers.
