Death of One of Poulan's Prominent Citizens.
This community was shocked yesterday over the news of the death of Mr. Dan McGirt of Poulan, which sad event occurred at his home about 5 o'clock yesterday morning. He was a victim of typhoid fever, from which dread disease he had been a sufferer for several weeks. In the prime of young manhood, with his life holding every promise to it dear and sweet to him, he is cut down. It seems especially deplorable. Everyone who knew genial Dan McGirt will learn of his death with regret. Out tenderest sympathies go out to the gentle young wife in her bereavement, and the tender infant son who will never know a father's love and counsel. The interment was made at Poulan cemetery yesterday evening.
