Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator.
Mrs. Bakalar was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Streator, the daughter of Joseph and Justina (Sauers) Hart. She married Thomas G. Bakalar, Sept. 9, 1950, at Immaculate Conception Church, Streator. He preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2004.
Rosemary had been employed at the Jack and Jill children's clothing store for several years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492 Auxiliary, all of Streator. She attended Streator grade schools and was a graduate of Streator Township High School, Class of 1947.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lynn (Bill) Holocker, Ladd, with whom Rosemary made her home for the last several years; grandchildren, Traci (Eric) Coughlin, Chicago, Tina (Aaron) Buffo, Peru, and Jeffery (Lisa) Holocker, Spring Valley; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Riley Buffo; and one brother, John "Jack" (Sue) Hart, Davenport, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her patents; husband; one son, Craig Bakalar; one grandson, Troy Holocker; one sister, Arlene Freese; and one brother, Robert Hart.
