Businessman, Mining Executive. A New Hampshire native, Gage graduated from Dartmouth College in 1858. In 1877 he went to Arizona to pursue mining and a year later, reached the town of Tombstone where he took control of the Grand Central Mines. In 1901 he founded and became president of the Tombstone Consolidated Mines Company and began acquiring and reopening many of the other mines located around the town. In addition, he also served as Arizona Prison Commissioner and President of the Arizona Capitol Building Commission.
