Union, July 28 - Mrs Mary Brown, widow of the late Alexander Brown, passed into eternal peace at the home of her daughter, Mrs Cordia McCormick at Union on Sunday evening last, July 23, at 6:30 o'clock. Her death was due to heart trouble. Mrs Brown had reached the age of 71 years on Feb 14 last. She was a daughter of the late Edward Collins and her whole life was spent in this county. Twenty-eight years ago her husband preceded her to the grave. She is survived by her only son, P S Brown of White Sulphur Springs and two daughters, Mrs Cordia McCormick of Union and Mrs Sallie Parker, wife of B A Parker of Salt Sulphur Springs; one brother, J P Collins of Union; and two sisters, Mrs Paxton Taylor of Salt Sulphur and Mrs Elizabeth Smith of Montgomery.
