Obituary: New Vienna---Mrs. Jennie C Bernard, 80, of here, died Sunday at 9 A.M., at Clinton Memoral Hospital. She was married to Everett Bernard, who died June 15.She was born Aug. 3 1888, near new Vienna, the daughter of Allan A., and Sarah Olive West Curtis. She was a member of the Fairview Friends Church.Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Cochran, Mrs. Ruth Sayre, both of this village; five sisters, Mrs. Winnie Smith of Hillsboro., Mrs. Edna Smith of Careytown, Mrs. Mary Reynolds of Wilmington,, Mrs. Jessie McDaniel of Wilmington, Mrs. Carrie Eaton, this village; three brothers, Fred and Stanley Curtis, both of Wilmington, Harley Curtis of Memphis, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Services were conducted by the Rev. F. H. Smith Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Smith funeral Home, New Vienna. burial was in Lees Creek Cemetery. "Same as Centerville Cemetery".
