WILLIAMSBURG - Ora S. Davis, R.N., died unexpectedly on July 24, 1995, while a resident of the Pines Convalescent Center in Williamsburg, Va.

She was born in Clinton, N.C., on May 8, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Marion Daniel Savage and Wertie Potter Savage. She was predeceased by her brother, Malcolm Donald Savage.

Mrs. Davis graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1944. She subsequently graduated from Woodard Herring Hospital and Atlantic Christian College as a registered nurse in 1947. She worked at her profession as a specialist in orthopedic medicine and geriatric medicine until her retirement in 1989. During her career, Mrs. Davis nursed veterans of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her four beloved children, Jerry Lee Marion Phillips of Norfolk, Frances Kay Davis and Henry Franklin Davis II of Williamsburg, and M/Sgt Edwin Savage Davis of Biloxi, Miss.; five grandchildren; an aunt, Leona Potter Hope; and cousin Robert Clarence Hope, both of Clinton.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Crumpler-Honneycutt Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial at the Clinton city cemetery.
