She was born on September 6, 1923 in Pocatello, Idaho to Rudolph and Daisy Coy Swanson. Mildred and LeGrand were married in Huntington Park, California on March 26, 1943. They were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona LDS temple in 1949. Mildred and LeGrand moved to Chula Vista, California in the late 1940's where they raised their family. She loved to sew and quilt, and served in many auxiliaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mildred's family meant everything to her and she was happiest when she was with them.
