OBITUARY: www.postindependent.com Glenwood Springs Post Independent (Glenwood Springs, Garfield County, Colorado) Tuesday, August 4, 2009:

Rose Zella Haff, 89, of Glenwood Springs, passed away July 31, 2009 at Grace Healthcare. Rose was born July 26, 1920 in El Jebel, CO, to Paul and Grace Gould. On January 11, 1943 she married Glen Alden Haff in Leadville. Rose was very creative; she made many wedding cakes and quilts for many family and friends. She loved sewing; she also cooked for Garfield Search and Rescue for many years on their missions. Rose loved the outdoors; she always took in homeless animals. The number one love of her life was her family. Rose was involved with the Rebekahs Lodge and Garfield Search and Rescue organizations.

Rose is survived by her sons, Donald and Richard Haff; daughters, Glenda Waker of Craig, Tamar Haff (Drager) of Fort Collins; sisters, Ruth Zancanella of Glenwood Springs, and Alice Lawrence, of Craig; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; grandson, Lon Alden Haff; her brothers, Willard Gould, Archie Gould, and Richard (Dick) Gould.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday Aug. 5, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Glenwood Springs, CO, with officiating clergy Bishop Darryl Warren. Burial will be held at Fischer Cemetery immediately following service.
