Luella Katherine Asay, daughter of Henry and Martha Asay was born August 9, 1884 in Thawville, Illinois, and departed this life Sept 1, 1956 at the age of 72 years and 23 days.
Her early childhood was spent in Thawville, HI., and at the age of 14 she came to Odessa, Nebr., with her parents.
In 1903 she was united in marriage with R. D. Lynch. To this union one child, LeRoy, was born. I
n 1907 Luella was united in marriage with Elmer E. Richards. They remained at residence on a farm near Odessa, Nebr., until 1939 when in December of that year they and their family moved to Kearney, Nebr. To this union seven children were born: Vyvian E., Leola Maye, Darrel Austin, Lyle A., Doris Jena, Bette Lou and Jack K. She was always a kind and loving wife and mother. Besides 19 grand children and 2 great grand children. She is survived by one brother, Ernest Asay, one sister Gertrude Fisk. One brother, Edward, preceded her in death.
