Andrew Hancharik of Menlo Park, N.J., formerly of Erwinna, Pa., died Tuesday at Veteran's Hospital in East Orange, N.J. He was 79. He was the husband of the former Janet I. Cronce. The couple celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in June of this year. Born November 23, 1916, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late John and Mary Kavatch Hancharik. He was last employed at Ingersol Rand Co., where he worked as an assembler for 42 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Haycock Run, Pa. He was also a member of Father Stormel Council #4545, and the Knights of Columbus, Revere, Pa. Mr. Hancharik was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of Post #0113 American Legion, Frenchtown, N.J. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Good Conduct and Victory Medals
