William (Bill) Rozzell died peacefully May 27, 2010, surrounded by family and loving staff of the Trinity Blessed Home Care after a long struggle with complications from diabetes. He was 86.
Bill was born in Chigley, Okla, September 6, 1923, to William Tartlon and Corda (Todd) Rozzell. Bill moved to California after serving in the U.S. Navy. He married, Louise Thomas in 1948. Bill and Louise moved to Oregon with their two children in 1959. They lived in Southern Oregon until moving to the Milwaukie area to be near their grandkids. Bill loved gardening and his family. He also enjoyed a Burger King lunch.
He was preceded in death by Louise, his beloved wife of 59 years; and all of his siblings. Bill is survived by son, Rickey and wife, Caroline; daughter, Judy and husband, Mike Flora; grandchildren, Bill Rozzell, Matt Rozzell and wife, Stephanie, Louie Flora and wife, Sarah, Gabe Rozzell and Laura Lee Pfeiffer, Jonathan Flora, Amanda (Rozzell) and husband, Matthew Bute and Mikee Flora; great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Noah Rozzell, Sidney and Rocco Flora and Little Will Bute; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was a gentle, loving man who will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hull and Hull Funeral Directors, Grants Pass, OR. A cemetery service will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, at Granite Hill Cemetery, Grants Pass, OR. Arrangements entrusted to Stehn Family Chapels Milwaukie Tribute Center, Milwaukie, OR and Hull and Hull Funeral Directors, Grants Pass, OR.
