Kimberly Ellen Dattilio Whittemore, 43, passed away after a brief illness Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Burlngton on Sept. 5, 1956, the daughter of Anthony and Claire (Ramsey) Dattilio. She graduated from Essex Junction High School, Class of 1976. Kim touched many people with her compassionate nature and her warm, friendly smile. Her greatest achievement was the birth of her son, Jeremy. Kim leaves her husband, Thomas Whittemore of Middlebury; her son, Jeremy of Essex Junction; her father, Anthony Dattilio and his wife, Bonnie, of Essex Junction; a brother, David and his wife, Lin, of Hartland; three sisters and their spouses, Peggylynn and Guy Palker of Westford, Jamie and Mark Smith of Essex Junction, and Ann and Steve Hills of Westford; her grandparents, Richard and Muriel Campbell of Essex Junction; and 15 nieces and nephews. Kim was predeceased by her mother, Claire Ramsey Dattilio, in 1977. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Catholic Church on West Street in Essex Junction. There will be no visiting hours. Spring interment will be held in Resurrection Park in South Burlington. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 11 Loomis St., Montpelier, Vt. 05602, or Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, Vt. 05495. Arrangements are by Ready Funeral Home, Mountain View Chapel, 68 Pinecrest Drive, Essex Junction.
