Suzanne Oelfke Colquitt, 67, passed away on Friday, Oct. 03, 1997.

She is preceding in death by her father, Karl Henry Oelfke, Sr. she is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Alfred Colquitt; mother, Gertrude Busch Oelfke; daughter and son - in - law Amanda Colquitt Beltran and Ovie Beltran; son and daughter - in - law Richard Paul and Susan Ghormley Colquitt; son and daughter - in - law Bryan Karl and Lee Schnake Colquitt; grandchildren Jennifer Carol Colquitt, John Landon Colquitt, Christopher Paul Colquitt, Bryan Keith Colquitt, David Matthew Colquitt, Elizabeth Paul Colquitt, Carman Suzanne Beltran, Richard Clayton Beltran, and Edward Paul Colquitt; brothers and sister - in - law, Karl Henry, Jr., and Elaine Steed Oelfke, and William Busch and Nancy Sizer Oelfke.

Suzanne was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her life was lived as a tireless and sacrificial servant to her family, to her many friends, and to the Lord.

She was born July 25, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Houston. She was a 1948 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and a 1952 graduate of the Rice Institute. Suzanne was a member of Chapter AE P. E. O. for nearly forty years, She was a member of the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and Ventures group.

Friends may call from 12:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. on Sunday, Oct. 05, 1997, at Waltrip Funeral Home, 1415 Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a. m. on Monday, Oct. 06, 1997, at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive, with the Rev. Harry Adamson and the Rev. Mac Turnage officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Erwin Ahrens, Hugh Ghormley, C. Jerry Miller, Robert Sabom, Edward Schnake, and George Volkel A private burial will follow in Cleburne, Texas.
