Mrs. Borden
Hayes - Mrs. Ella Muse Borden, 75, died Friday in Walter Reed Memorial Hospital.
She was a former member of the Gloucester County Board of Public Welfare. She attended the College of William and Mary and taught school in Middlesex and Rockbridge counties.
She was a member of Providence Baptist Church where she was active in the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the Women's Missionary Society.
She was also past president of the Abingdon Woman's Club, and a member of the York River Circle, King's Daughters.
Survivors include three sons, Benjamin E. Borden Jr. and Carter Muse Borden, both of Hayes, and William Ray Borden of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Cassie M. Folkes and Mrs. W. Birch Douglas, both of Richmond, and Mrs. George M. Evans of Rustburg; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in Providence Baptist Church here by the Rev. William J. Corey and the Rev. Hammond Robins Jr.
The body will be moved from the Hogg Funeral Home to the church at 3 p.m.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the building fund of Providence Church.
