James Thomas Abbott, age 84, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 18, 2010. James served in the US Navy aboard the USS San Jancinta during WWII, was the Fire Chief for the Kimberly Volunteer Fire Department, and was the founder of the Mount Olive Road Church of God; at which he pastured.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Hubert Vester Abbott; and 3 sisters: Bertha Smith, Ruth Meadows, and Rushie Ganey. Arrangements under the direction of Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL. Obituary - Birmingham.
