Graveside services are scheduled
for 10 a.m., Friday, March 17,
1995, at South Park Cemetery
for Mamie I. French, 84, of Roswell,
who passed away Tuesday, March
14, 1995, at Eastern New Mexico
Medical Center-South.
The Rev. Bill Jones, minister of
Tinnie Baptist Church, will officiate.
Mamie was born Nov. 23, 1910, in
Indian Territory, Okla., to J.W. and
Emma Ruth (Melton) Shaw, both
of whom have preceded her in
death.
On Dec. 18, 1933, Mamie mar-
ried W.O. French in Levelland,
Texas. He preceded her in death
in December, 1984.
Mamie has been a resident of
Roswell since 1942. She was a
homemaker and a charter member
of the Midway Baptist Church.
Her survivors include two sons,
Bill French and his wife,Elaine,
and Don French, and his wife,
Pat, all of Roswell; her sister-in-law,
Sue Shaw, also of Roswell; her
grandchildren, Alan French, Donnie
French, Laura DeLaRosa and Kim
Young, all of Roswell; and nine
great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the
direction of the Ballard Funeral
Home.
