Family and friends may call at the Johnson Funeral Home, P.A., 8521 Loch Raven Boulevard (Beltway Exit 29 B) on Wednesday from 11 to 12 PM. Interment Friday at Mt. Herman Cemetery, VA. The funeral for Bessie I[rene] Turner, 88, of 8300 Kendale Rd, Parkville, MD, who died Monday, July 14, 2003, at Genesis Loch Raven Nursing Home [MD], will be held at 2 pm Friday at Mt. Hermon Church of the Brethren in Bassett. Pastor Marvin Wade will preside, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the church an hour before the funeral. Born March 27, 1915, in VA, she was preceded in death by her parents, Steve Turner I and Flora A[nn] Craig Turner; five sisters, Daisy M[adeline] Turner, Vinia Dotson [sic], Myrtle Pullman [sic-Pulliam]], Lilly Ann Steinberg and Mildred Sigretto; and two brothers, Arthur W[ashington] and Layman F[red] Turner. She had worked in a hair salon and was a Protestant by faith. Surviving is her sister, Ora Craig of Parkville. Norris Funeral Services is handling arrangements.
