Jasper Taggart

ABERDEEN - Jasper Seaman Taggart, 70, Aberdeen, died Saturday night at the home of his brother, George, in Aberdeen.

He was born April 2, 1893, in Richfield, Morgan County, Utah, the son of Charles Wallace and Mary Suzanna Seaman Taggart. He married Cecil June Thompson Oct. 16, 1912, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, they lived in the Ogden, Utah area before moving to Aberdeen in 1930. Mr. Taggart was engaged in construction work and farming most of his life. His wife died in 1946. He was a member of the LDS church and held the office of elder.

Survivors include two sons, Lyle Jasper Taggart, Paris, Idaho; Lynne Max Taggart, Bountiful, Utah; four daughters, Mrs. Clarence Poulson and Mrs. Marion Wride, Aberdeen; Mrs. Leo Herr, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Jack Dahle, Garden Grove, Calif.; one brother, George Taggart of Aberdeen; four sisters, Mrs. Susie Barlow and Mrs, Josephine Hayes, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Bert Jones, Corrine, Utah and Mrs. Amanda Bowman, Idaho Falls; 41 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Aberdeen LDS First Ward Chapel with Harvey Phillips officiating. Friends may call at the Relief Society room of the church Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Aberdeen Cemetery under the direction of Davis Mortuary
