He died Thursday, June 30, 1966 at Doster Hospital in Columbus, Miss. The Rev. Thomas Findley officiated. Stabler Brown Funeral Home was in charge of the burial at Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. He was a life long resident of Pickens County and was a press operator for Siminole Manufacturing Co. for 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Mae Davidson Bishop, three sons, Joe Bishop of Reform and Donald E. and Oliver D. Bishop both of Columbus. Three sisters, Mrs. Tommie Sparks, and Mrs. Florene Lowe both of Reform, and Mrs. Frances Schultz of Columbus. Two brothers Troy Bishop of Reform, and Leon Bishop of Columbus, and four grandchildren.
