Hazel Elizabeth Emlinger, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, July 11, 1995, at Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at the Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Lewis Koke officiating Burial will be in Chippewa Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Michigan Heart Association.
Mrs. Emlinger was born Oct. 5, 1916, in Isabella County to Levi and Esther (Brown) Clark. She married Russell Emlinger in 1935 in Bay City. He preceded her in death in 1953.
Mrs. Emlinger was a lifelong resident of the area.
Grandma Hazel was an avid gardener as well as an excellent seamstress who also quilted and tended her flowers. She will be sorely missed by her many friends and family members. Grandma Hazel touched the lives of all those whose great fortune it was to know such an extraordinary individual.
Some of the greatly loved and deeply saddened relatives she leaves behind are three daughters, Catherine Dahms of Mt. Pleasant, Jackie Novak of Grand Rapids, and Louise Schuelke of Seattle, Wash.; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two, daughters; three step sons; and a sister.
