She graduated in 1950 from Holy Angels High School, and then attended Marquette University College of Nursing where she graduated in 1954 with a B.S. in nursing. In 1955, she married her longtime sweetheart, Joseph Ehlenbach. They began their lives together in Milwaukee where she focused on raising their six children. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Milwaukee for more than 40 years.
Once her children were grown, Carol took an active role in Pregnancy Aftermath and was a longtime member of the Jesuit Families Guild. She spent the last three years of her life living in Madison where she developed a wonderful community of friends, including her dear friend, Joan Sullivan. She will be dearly missed by her two daughters and their spouses, four sons and their spouses, seventeen, one sister,grandchildren, many other friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Joseph; infant son, Raymond; parents, Raymond and Elizabeth; parents-in-law, Arthur and Anna (Horst) Ehlenbach; siblings, Sr. Mary Kornely SSSF, Lois Kreska and Fr. Benno Kornely, SJ; and grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin and Phillip.
Though we will miss her dearly, we know that Mom is thrilled to be reunited with Dad.
