Maude M. Cassidy, 97, of Clare died Saturday, Feb. 8, 1986, at the Ardis Nursing Home in Farwell. Services took place Tuesday at the Clare Chapel of the Coker Funeral Home with the Rev. James Harwood officiating. Burial was at Cherry Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Cassidy was born Oct. 24, 1889, in Isabella County to Frances and Minerva (Powel) Bowen. A lifelong resident of the Clare area, she was a member of the Clare Congregational United Church of Christ and of the Zenobia Chapter of the Eastern Stars of Clare. She is survived by six grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Frank Holmes and Floyd Cassidy, one son, Glenwood Holmes; and one daughter, Vernie Peckman.
