Mrs. Mildred E. Diaz, 82, Springfield, died at 8:20 p.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital. Born in Springfield on Feb. 1, 1903, she was the daughter of Joseph S. and Kate Tisynger Weimer. Her husband, William Diaz, preceded her in death. A lifelong resident of Springfield, Mrs. Diaz was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, past noble grand of the Lilla Rebekah Lodge No. 63, past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Patriarchs Militant and past president of the Miriam Club.
Surviving are one son, Arthur Barlow of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nora Bentley of Springfield; one brother, Jesse Weimer of Lincoln; two nieces; and four nephews.
Services at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul E. Flesner officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
