Mr. Young was born and reared in the community in which he resided and was a son of the late Taylor and Hettie Hurt Young. He was a member of the Christian Church and a highly respected citizen.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lola Hurt Young; two daughters by a former marriage, Mrs. Loren White, of Louisville and Mrs. Buford Reeves; two sisters, Mrs. W.T. Miller, of Dunville and Mrs. Kent Montgomery and three brothers, Rev. L.C. Young, of Dunville, Lys and Millard Young, of Columbia.
Funeral services and burial will be held at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon at Shiloh conducted by Rev. H.J. Conover.
