He was born and reared near Wilsons, son of the late Jacob and Louisa (Schmidt) Wiles. He was a member of the Miller's Tabernacle, this city.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Eleanor Wiles; daughters, Mrs. Charles Shoemaker, Mrs. John Carty and Mrs. Richard Smith; son, William L., this city; sisters, Mrs. Louis Sprankle, this city; Mrs. Elizabeth Burger, Frederick; brothers, William W, Wiles, Wilsons; George Wiles, this city; also 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Body was taken to the Coffman funeral home where it may be viewed until Wednesday evening when it will be removed to the home near Huyetts where short service will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1:30 with farther services in Miller's Tabernacle with the Rev. W. A. Miller officiating, assisted by Rev. Gerald Gross; interment in St. Paul's Cemetery along Western Pike.
