She was born on April 20, 1919 in Guthrie Center, Iowa, daughter of the late Edward & Goldie (Allen) Schwaderer.
On March 25, 1937 she was united in marriage to Ivyl Earl Slaybaugh. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2003.
Mrs. Slaybaugh was a self employed beautician. She was a member of the Early Chapel Christian Church and later attended the Earlham Presbyterian Church in Earlham, Iowa.
Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl (Wayne) Cook of Piedmont, MO.; one brother, Carroll Schwaderer of Ankeny, IA; 1 granddaughter, Rhonda Knock; 3 great-grandchildren, Mandy Mae Knock, Nathan Slaybough and Jamee Slaybough; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Hanson Higgins and Logan Todd.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, James Edward Slaybaugh; one brother, Carl Schwaderer; and 1 grandson, James Ivyl Slaybaugh.
