Ocie Lee Wilson, 77, of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, Oct.1, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center. She was born Sept.13, 1931, to Homer and Laura Eddington. She was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church and sang in the choir for many years. She had her own janitorial business. She leaves to cherish her memory her companion, Henry Stephenson; one daughter, Karen Isaac (Kenneth); two sons, Herman, Jr. (Shadda) and Charles Wilson; two sisters, Mae Lewis and Martha Dupree; one stepsister, Annie Bennett; grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at St. Matthew Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Peaceful Garden Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Visitation will be held at Griffin Mortuary from 1-4 p.m. today.
