Marian was a feisty Irish red head and to her family always came first.
In 1993 Marian moved to Chicago to stay with friends, she worked as a food service manager with the Marriott corporation later known as Sodexho and had an excellent work record.
In her spare time Marian who was an exceptional cook and would cook meals for friends and neighbours who needed a little help. Her home was where everyone was welcomed in and her party,s were renowned for the food she would cook and serve to everyone.
Marian met the love of her life Jack at the end of 1993 and they were married in Ireland on Sept.10 1994 and in 2005 they had twin daughters Kate and Erin. Marian adored her family and gave up work to rear her girls.
Marian entered Palos Community Hospital with Strep pneumonia and was placed on a respirator and sadly she was not to recover.
On June 14th Marian sadly passed with her Husband, Mother and 3 of her sisters by her side.
Her funeral mass was held at St. Jane De Chantal Catholic Church and she was later interred at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Chicago.
At the exact same time as the funeral mass was being said in Chicago a mass was also being said in her parish church in Ireland for her family and friends to attend there, it was also attended by her Dad who was unable to travel to Chicago because of bad health and another sister.
Marian left a heartbroken husband, children, parents, sisters and extended family and many friends who will never forget her kindness, her smiles and the naughty twinkle in her eye or her feisty Irish redhead temper.
Mars we miss and love you every day

The shamrock stone was created and handmade for Mars by her sister REILLY and family and placed on her Grandparents grave in Ireland so the family here have a place to visit her.

what it meant to lose you,

A sister is a part of me that can never be taken away for we came from the same mother. When I go to visit you I need to remember that graves lend comfort to the living left behind. And I also need to remember that Earth has no sorrows That Heaven cannot Heal. God bless you, Mars, a loving sister.
