Elsie M. Bosko of River Street died Tuesday (Feb. 17, 2009) in Cuba Memorial Hospital's Skilled Nursing Facility following a long illness.
Born Nov. 12, 1928, in Olean, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Arlene Lauser Rowe. On June 16,
1951, in Olean, she married Joseph M. Bosko, who died Sept. 26, 1988.
Elsie grew up in Olean and graduated from Olean High School in 1946. She lived in Rochester from 1953 to 1988 and worked at Marine Midland Bank before return¬ing to Olean. Previously, she worked at Exchange Bank in Olean.
She loved her precious cats.
Surviving are a son, Michael J. Bosko of Olean; two brothers, Earl (Lillian) Rowe of Bellingham, Wash., and Leon (Alberta) Rowe of New Braunfels, Texas; two nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a
daughter, Mary Lynn Bosko Lawrence, on May 10, 2000; and a sister, Aletha Walters in 2004.
At Mrs. Bosko's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery Allegany.
Memorials may be made the SPCA, 2944 Olean¬Hinsdale Road, Olean,N 14760.
Arrangements are under direction of the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., Olean.
